2. Newsletter and communications

3. Processing donations 
Legal basis: Execution of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Payment data is processed exclusively by our third-party providers (PayPal) and is not stored on our servers.

4. Website analytics
Legal basis: Legitimate interest or consent, depending on cookie settings. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our website, in order to improve its content and usability. Analytics data is anonymised where possible.

5. Legal obligations
Legal basis: Compliance with a legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR). We may process and retain certain data as required by Italian and European law.

 

Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected:

• Contact form data: retained for up to 12 months from the date of the last communication
• Newsletter data: retained until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent
• Donation records: retained for up to 10 years in accordance with Italian accounting and fiscal obligations
• Analytics data: retained according to Google Analytics settings (default: 26 months)

After the applicable retention period, data is securely deleted or anonymised.

 

Sharing of Personal Data

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal data to third parties. We may share your data with the following categories of recipients, strictly for the purposes described in this policy:

• Mailchimp (The Rocket Science Group LLC) – for newsletter management

• PayPal (Europe) S.a.r.l.  – for processing donations and membership payments

All third-party providers act as independent data controllers or data processors under their own privacy policies and are GDPR-compliant. Where required, we have entered into Data Processing Agreements with these providers.

Some of these providers may transfer data outside the European Economic Area (EEA). In such cases, transfers are carried out in accordance with Chapter V of the GDPR, including via Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.

Where data is processed by third-party providers, processing takes place at their respective locations. Any transfer of data outside the EEA is subject to appropriate contractual safeguards as described above.
